Fantastico is there but not its icon?

Hey everyone,

I have a server that shows fantastico in all the cpanel accounts for the packages I have it enabled on, however the Icon doesn't show up. All that you can see is the Fantastico DeLuxe text with no icon, its still useable but users would like to see the icon. I have reinstalled fantastico, performed a UPCP, removed and added it to the package in feature manager. Anyone have any other ideas?

Also be sure you're using the X3 theme.

I faced the same issue and the solution which worked for me is given below :

If you notice that Fantastico icon missing/broken from cPanel you can fix it easily by creating a symlink.

ln -s /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/fantastico/xskin.html
/usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/x/cells/fantastico.html


If above does not fix the issue and you have already tried installing fantastico from the scratch and had done makecpphp and upcp then please follow the steps given below :

take the backup of /usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/x to /usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/x.bkp
mv /usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/x /usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/x.bkp

cp -prf /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/fantastico// /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/fantastico//

Fantastico requires certain files and directories to have the following permissions:

/bin/tar 0755
/bin/gzip 0755
/usr/bin/wget 0700
/bin/bash 0755

Directories (create if they do not exist):
/tmp 1777
/usr/local/cpanel/base/tmp 1777
/usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/tmp 1777


DO /scripts/upcp --force #this will install x theme again

ln -s /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/fantastico/xskin.html
/usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/x/cells/fantastico.html

ln -s /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/fantastico/xskin.html
/usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/x2/cells/fantastico.html


This should fix the issue if still the issue remains there then try changing the skin from the cPanel for the x3 theme to something else from the root skin and see if that helps .

If issue still persists then please contact the support team they might have the solution but above mentioned steps worked for me .
