    Default favicon.ico

Is there anything special one has to do to a server to get these recognized.
I have placed the code below in the head section of this site in the index.html page. We can not get it to show up. Can someone else try and see if it is working or it is a browser problem?

Default Works in IE for me

I think this is IE 6 (I'm at the library, not my own computer.) running on Windows 2000.

It worked after I reloaded it by dragging the icon back to the address bar. That's what IE needs sometimes.

    It works fine in N7.

Well I clicked add favorites and added the page has ie icon, close internert explorer and restarted several times still the same ie icon. I tried the icon by itself and then I dragged into the url browser bar it replaced the ie icon for the page but it does not stay when I close page and reopen same thing

I don't like IE anyway. Problem is, that's what most visitors use.

I notice that I need to get the icon to appear before adding to favorites, but even then, sometimes the icons in the favorites disappear again later.

When IE first started using the icons, there was never a problem. Now they've got something messed up.
