In the WHM Feature Manager, what does the checkbox for "Update Contact Information" enable or disable, in a CP for which that feature-set has been applied?

Just a guess, but it might have been for the X2 theme where there was a link at top of page to "update your contact Information" enabling or not, that link.

Although I just checked for the heck of it, and that does not remove the link in X2.

Very simply, it enabled/disables the "Update Contact Information" icon in the cPanel interface if you are using X3.

Note, X and X2 are no longer actively maintained and will become fully deprecated in version 12. Anyone still using these themes should migrate to the X3 theme. If they prefer the appearance of X and X2, they can use the X style of the X3 theme.
