Question Fedora-Legacy will support RH7.3 - will cpanel?

Fedora-Legacy will continue to provide security updates for RH 7.3. My question is:
Will cPanel continue to support RH 7.3?

Yes, as far as I know they will.

Event though on the cpanel.net frontpage you will find this text :

Special notice about cPanel for RedHat: cPanel will continue to support the current versions of RedHat Linux through the end of their lifetimes. We are currently planning to support the new RedHat Enterprise Linux and Fedora versions before the end of the year. Once we have more information, we will post it here for your convenience.
Notice how it says ' through the end of their lifetimes'. I'm not a native speaker but IMO this means that they will stop supporting RH 7.3 when its lifetime ends.

I've heard that is not what they meant to say though
They meant to say 'after the end of their lifetimes'

    Clarification:

At this time we plan to support the RH linux versions UP TO the end of their lifetime. We MAY support them beyond that point if it is feasible but we have not definitely decided that yet.

    Hope that clears things up.

Considering that 7.x and 8.0 EOL in 36 days it would be nice if cPanel can work out and announce their official support policy soon.

Some organizations do not allow for "winging it".

    Thanks Josh,

I guess i should clarify. I'm not interested in more development of 7.3 - I'm very happy to stay at stable 8.5.3. Obviously cPanel are better spending their time developing the Fedora and RHEL versions. I just would like to continue getting security updates thru cpanel. Especially if fedora -Legacy still do the back ports, it should be easy for cpanel to do this. This is what I would like to see.

I will eventually move to RHEL, just want a bit more time.

    Default RH 7.3

That's just great.. I start building a RH 7.3 server and I get to see it too close to EOL.

    Blah.

I hope EV1Servers can do upgrade to 9 or RHEL for me at console without costing me an arm and a leg.. Anyone know about doing this?

ev1 are unmanaged - which means you get to upgrade!

These is a how-to for rh9 in the forums and no upgrade apth for RHEL. You should have waited to buy the server...

Well, I got the server 2 months ago and the first time I heard of RHEL was in this forum a little bit ago.

So, I guess RH 9 will do.
