[Curious Too]

I have a customer who is using the file manager to edit her web pages. After she edits a previously saved page, the &save& button doesn't show up in her browser, so she can't save her changes. She is using IE 5 (Mac). Any ideas on what the problem could be?

I know this is like, EONS later but i am having the exact same problem and cannot figure out what is causing it for the life of me.

Basically, there is NO save button or save options when editing only SOME files in the cpanel file manager.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated

We are having the exact same problem and also in the text box for the html page, this html is showing up:

Has anybody figured out the solution?

On one client's page, the save button actually showed up on the live page.

I wanted to report back that we figured out what the problem was. There were 2 actually, both dealing with comment tags.

There was a missing closing comment tag and there was also a mistake in the closing comment tags that were being used. Instead of -->, the client was using --!> as the closing tag.

I hope this helps someone else that this happens to.

It has to do with html tags inside a textarea conflicting with the rest of the page. Nothing that anyone can really do...maybe use an iFrame?
