    Default File Manager suggestion

We need the ability to perform actions on multiple files at the same time. Such as move/copy/delete and setting permissions, etc.

This feature is important for our customers and for those who do not know how to use FTP.

I have to say, The new file manager looks fantastic.

I was not able to use it much because of errors, but that's how EDGE goes.

I think since cPanel is diving into a new file manager and all sorts of client-side scripting, multiselect would be a nice enhancement, and should be considered now.

If they do not start dev on this now, it will be outdated by the time it is realized and assumed that everyone has it.

By then its too late to start dev on it. (....maybe. We'll see how flexible the new cP kernel is. Perhaps something like this can be easily added later. I have high hopes in the way cPanel is coding now.)

    Good idea.

The ability to perform multi-file functions has been requested for many years now.

We might see it in 2009. Doubtful.

    Default multiple files

I would also like to know how to upload or move multiple files or directories.
Is there a source of knowledge on FTP ?

I love the new file manager so far - great job!

    1. I don't like is that each file or folder you click on is automatically selected, it should be that you should have to hold down 'Shift' to select multiple files at once.

    2. It should be double click to edit the file name, just clicking on the file name makes it editable, double clicking the file name should make it editable, one click should just select the file.

Those 2 suggestions only and you are at a perfect file manager =)

It has the ability the compress and extract as well.

The one thing i repeatedly get asked for is a search function so clients are able to locate there files easily.

Yes i know its not rocket science to find your files but i still get asked every day/week.
