Filemanager: Virus Detected; File not Uploaded! (Access denied. ERROR)

We get the following error in filemanager for ONE cpanel account when uploading any file:

Virus Detected; File not Uploaded! (Access denied. ERROR)

The nature of the file does not make any difference (jpeg, txt etc.), no file can be uploaded, they are all denied with the above error. File/directory permissions look OK.
Uploading works in other accounts (even if owned by the same reseller).

This is most likely NOT a clamd.conf error (we checked). We searched the forums and googled around - nothing helpful.

Server runs:
WHM 10.8.0 cPanel 10.8.2-R83
CentOS 4.1 x86_64 - WHM X v3.1.0

Anyone having an idea?

Didn't work in our case, we tried that before and tried again after you recommeded it. Same for fixeverything.

A bit of an obvious option, but you could always just get rid of the clamavconnector module.

I doubt many if any users are going to upload viruses via the filemanager either intentionally or accidentally. And then if they did want to upload viruses, they could just as easily do so via FTP therefore bypassing the filemanager's virus scanning.

Yes we could (stopping clamd eliminates the problem btw)

But why, oh why does it only affect ONE user?
(All others can upload and don't have this problem)
