    Default Filter outgoing mail

    Hi,
I was wondering if its possible to have spamassassin check all outgoing mail and then if the outgoing mail meets the criteria it is forwarded to an abuse address or a queue or something so that I can monitor which of my users are spammers.

    Any help would be great!

    thanks!

look for chirpy and Mailscanner on the forums.

He offers a MailScanner install and you can configure it to check incoming, forwarded and outgong mail.

Great A+ service and support also.

    Thanks for your reply

Yes I have seen mailscanner... seems like the way to go. How is it configured if you don't use a cpanel frontend? Do you know anywhere where I can read about its features? I can't seem to find a list of what it can do...

    Thanks

    Thanks

I have setup mailscanner now and it seems to be working as it should.
One problem I am encountering is that when I setup the action rules to forward mail to an address and also delete I seem to receive duplicate e-mails. Its very strange! Anyone encountered this before?

    Thanks

What does the rule look like that you've configured (you can change the email addresses for privacy), and in which ruleset?

    in spam.action.rules I added:

    To: *@domain.com forward spam@domain2.com delete

The strange thing is that if I send a mail to user@domain.com I receive one copy to user@domain.com and one to spam@domain2.com.
If I set the forward address to user@domain.com I only receive one e-mail. I now that the e-mail is deleted as when I send a mail outgoing with the same setup it never reaches its destination, but I recieve two copies? very strange! Maybe its something with cpanel?

    Thanks for your help!

I think I found the error, there was an incorrect setup in cpanel.

    Thanks for your help!
