    Default Folder permission stuck!

I am using IFD firewall, which recently detected a script being exploited and changed permissions to 000 for that folder.

Now I have a patch for the script and its not allowing me to change file permissions, I get operation not allowed message. I tried doing it through SHELL, FTP and file manager none seems to be working. How do I go about changing permissions for this file.

I have done this before without any problems, this folder is stuck for some reason.

You need to remove the immutable flag on the directory:

    chattr -i /path/to/dir
