    Default AllowOverride

    This:

    Code:
    AllowOverride all
allows users to override your .htaccess settings via their own .htaccess files. To disallow this, you will need to use the AllowOverride directive to limit who can override your settings.

Also, instead of editing the .htaccess file directly, you can also set some options like this one in the WebHost Manager, in Main >> Service Configuration >> Apache Configuration >> Global Configuration.
