    Default FREEBSD: Configured backups only gives us DAILY BACKUPS!

    Whats up with the cpanel backup system under FreeBSD?

    In WHM under CONFIGURE BACKUPS we have the following options set;

    Backup Interval (Note: Selecting Daily Backup with give you monthly and weekly as well unless you choose not to retain them below. Selecting Weekly backup will give you monthly as well unless you choose not to retain them below.) DAILY IS CHECKED

    Backup Retention: DAILY IS CHECKED BY DEFAULT

    Days to run backup: SMTWTFSSun

    But this is all screwed up. Because if daily is checked then backups should be done on a DAILY, WEEKLY, MONTHLY basis and this is not happending.

    We only see /cpbackup/daily and there is no /cpbackup/weekly or /cpbackup/monthly backups on our 2nd drive. What happend to weekly and monthly???????????????????

    WHAT A BIG SCREWUP!

    See this for eg, http://forums.cpanel.net/showthread....backup+freebsd

    What is being done about this?

    it's because we have very poor support for freebsd.. I have the same problem still. You get a workaround?

    Has this ever been resolved. We tick the daily and weekly and "rentention" options but still only get one copy of each backup which is overwritten each day. Seems like some pretty lousy backup method. We have to do things manually with tar because the built in cpanel method is pretty much one copy and thats it.
