FTP / Password Synch problem

It never fails... every time we or a client changes their password in cPanel the new password won't work in FTP until we run the FTP/Passwords Synch command in WHM. This is quite frustrating for the customer and for us.

We've using the latest stable version of cPanel. Any ideas how to fix this?

I'm having exactly the same problem on all 10.8 servers

This is fixed in RELEASE Build 27.
