Default FTP password for user is not defined.

When I try to run "/scripts/cpbackup --force" to test the backup, I got the following:
    Code:

You can use this link to do a basic test on the FTP server with your FTP users login details:
Gene6 FTP Server ™ - Online FTP Test

Silly question time: Were all details filled in properly in Configure Backup options? I have just setup a remote backup to test here and it is running as expected.

Actually, the ftp details are working fine.
The thing is that the backup that was done last night, made 0kb files on the host.

And, yes, the details are setup correctly on WHM.

    Thank you!

Well, the backup did not complete properly it seems. The FTP user could not login.

You might try resetting the password and save in the config, and give it another go. If that pass isn't saving properly you might want to click the link at top of forums titled Bugs and put in a ticket.

How do I manually edit the config and set the ftp password?
    Thank you!

I wouldn't necessarily recommend editing it, but /etc/cpbackup.conf.shadow file has this entry for the password in it:

    Code:
    BACKUPFTPPASS passwordhere
Where passwordhere is the FTP password. Also, please check the permissions and mutability options on that file:

    Code:
    lsattr /etc/cpbackup.conf.shadow && ls -lah /etc/cpbackup.conf.shadow
You should get a return such as the following:

    Code:
    ------------- /etc/cpbackup.conf.shadow
    -rw------- 1 root root 24 Jul 26 10:00 /etc/cpbackup.conf.shadow
