I'm trying to access ftp via browser (IE and Firefox).

ftp://[user]:[password]@[domain]/

i.e. ftp://user@example.comassword@example.com

That above method still prompts for login information. Is this normal?

Also, by default I see folders mail and pub. I'm assuming pub is short for public_html?

Is it true that I'm logging in directly to the ftp user's folder and not root correct?
