    Default FTP server unreliable

I'm Using pure FTP - IN the past it was possible to set filezilla to do 4 simultaneous downloads and the transfers would just rock and roll when updating scripts etc

In the recent past it seems that an FTP session will go OK for a couple hundred files then just stall - the logs show retries and sometimes show resolving name

If I restart the FTP service on the server it picks right up and takes off at full speed for a while then dies again

pure FTP is configured for 50 users and 8 simultaneous connections

I looked in the raw logs for the account and didnt see any erorrs that looked important

I searched here and found "solutions" that mention zipping the file and uploading the zipped file and unzipping it on the server - thats not a good solution here

Id love to know what is keeping the ftp from working the way it used to
When uploading or downloading lots of files its really handy to have filezilla uploading 3 or 4 files at a time -

    Default FTP Server Issues

    Hello,

Have you tried any other clients that filezilla. This will eliminate that as a possibility, and hopefully get you going again. Of course, if the problem continues please let me know, as there is no reason that shouldn't work. If you need to you can also submit a ticket via the link at the bottom of this post.

    Thank you,
    Matthew Curry

Thanks for responding. but....... the question was asked 5 months ago.

I think I resolved it but not sure.. Ill check

I cant submit a ticket thru the link since I like MANY others buy Cpanel through a reseller. The reseller is expected by CPanel to be my first level of support but honestly they usually know less about CPanel and WHM than I do. Have to argue with them to submit a ticket on my behalf to you ... If I had more problems with Cpanel it would make sense to buy direct next time but the cost is much higher

Correct, but always feel welcome to use us as your secondary source of support. You can choose the option to "submit a request without logging in" so you can be in contact directly with our staff. This will result in slower response times than your licensing provider receives from us, but it will get your question addressed by cPanel staff directly.
