FTP Slows Down

Hi,

I have a cpanel server with layered tech.
I am facing a strange problem,
When I start FTP upload .. it works fine for few seconds
and after that upload speed slows down, whereas I am
not facing this problem with any other server.

I have check pure-ftp conf also ... its same as other servers.
What can be the possible reason ?

Uhhh... Try with other FTP Programs, if there is no difference try changing to pro-ftpd.

Both are working slow .. pro and pure both.
Tried various packages at various locations worldwide.

Compressed or uncompressed files? If possible you should upload compressed files and unpack when you get there. (if uploading a directory of files timing out is your problem)

I don't know if my situation is like yours or not, my problem is :
when upload files to the server (with ev1servers) , it seems if the file is over around 18K and the transfer will be sometimes diffcult to upload, or more and more slow, until the speed reach to 0k, then shows:
421 Timeout (no new data for 900 seconds)
ERROR: Connection aborted

this normally happens when your local end doesnt allow passive ftp transfers outbound, either change your local firewall settings or disable passive in your ftp client
