Default ftp throught web don't work

    hi!

I want to have ftp acces through a web browser
I want to be access like ftp.domain.com

Now don't work, after few minutes (!!!) ask me about username and password. If I set Anonymous after another few minutes ask me again about user/pass.

    How can I do that?

    Thank you!

Stop ftpd, and then start it back up. Had the same problem a while ago and that fixed it, I have no idea why it got like that but that did the trick for me..

Anybody know a site with a comparasion between cpanel, exim, plesk etc etc??

    It's time to migrate...

Don't forget that when you enable anonymous FTP that your username isn't just 'anonymous'; it is 'anonymous@yourdomain.com'.

When you use a web browser you have to pass the username as:

    anonymous%40yourdomain.com

This is due to the fact that your web browser will view an '@' symbol as the delimiter between the username and the hostname, but in this particular case, the hostname is also part of the username. This is one reason why browsers make horrible FTP clients.
