    Default FTP Upload Issue

Whenever I try to upload files to this one account it looks like it uploads them but when I refresh the files are not actually there. I figured it might have been a quota issue but I've tried removing the .ftpquota file, running /scripts/fixquotas and /scripts/fixeverything

I'm not sure why I'm unable to upload files, I tailed /var/log/messages while it was uploading and it doesn't output anything to it about my FTP upload, just that I connected. Normally it adds a line in the log for each file I upload.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Has the account recently been migrated to a new server? If you aren't using Express Transfer, it is possible that you are connecting to another server due to DNS propagation issues, which would explain why you connect and upload but your server has no record of this activity.

Im having a similiar issue where a user is complaining about a ftp transfer timing out. The user and I can log into the ftp account successfully and upload files. However a folder the user is trying to upload with 52 files totaling 5.6GB failed after successfully transferring 36 files. Moreover /var/log/messages only records the IP address of the connection to the ftp server. Where is the file transfer data being logged now? Eg: username, filename and size transferred.

/var/log/xferlog contains the actual transaction log. /var/log/messages just logs connection attempts and other general information.
