Default Full BackUp Account up ? Why is it useful ?

    Hello,

which is the advantage to create a full account back up ?

Is there any possiblity to restore subdomains , parked domain using that back up . It doesn't seems possible , so I cannot understand the advantage of this kind of backup .

For example what need to have to on backup the shell file , the proftpdpasswd , quota and shadow password (?) .
Is there any possibility to restore them ?

It seems no , so why backup them ? Anyone can explain me .
(I can see only some security problem on this kind of backup .)

While I found very useful the Today Data backup and the mysql backup , I cannot see a valid reason to have the Full Back Up Account since some part of that backup cannot be restored.

    Thank you

    For backup individual account:
    login root
    cd /scripts
    ./pkgacct USERNAME

Remplace USERNAME with the name of user that you wants backup

    My 2 cents

.. and if the client modify the backup file by hand ?
For example he could modify shell file , the proftpdpasswd file , quota (modifying it to 10GB for example) and other files ..

Then if he ask to restore it could be a problem ...

uhmm doesn't seems a good idea this full backup

Hmmm.. Never thought about that, I think I'll have to test that out.

You can save your clients backups and restore when they request, dont accept their custom bakups

    Thats is the better

I agree . It seems more an Admin feature than a client feature . It should stay on WHM instead of on Cpanel .

How does one restore the backup made by this method?

Also is there a list or a script that will backup all necessary
    system files, db, passwords,etc.?

    Thank you.

I saw unpkgacct in scripts. But I don't know how to use it. This could be helpful for transfering large sites since if you account copy it tends to time out. If someone could look at the code and see how to use it that would be great.
