full site backup - disk space

Hello

If a cPanel user has a 100 MB website and it contains 75 MB of files will a Full Site Backup fail because they don't have enough disk space left in their account?

or in other words

Would backing up to a remote server be their only option after they go over 50% of their allotted space?
