Default gallery needs ImageMagick and the IM Perl module installed/compiled at same time

How can I manually compile ImageMagick and the image magick perl mod at the same time. This is required by a gallery script.

Have you tried the "Install RPM" function? I know I got ImageMagick installed via there..

Try Software->Install an RPM->ImageMagick and ImageMagic-perl (I've also got ImageMagick-c++, ImageMagic-c++-devel and ImageMagick-devel installed on mine), and then Software->Install a Perl Module and install "Image::Magick"
