Two days ago i turned off spamassassin and spamd from WHM.
Ever since then im getting email every few minutes "spamd failed @ Thu Apr 7 15:10:03 2005. A restart was attempted automagicly."
How do i stop cpanel from trying to restart spamd?

If nothing works to stop CPanel/WHM email about "SPAMD Failed", try rebooting the server.

There's no need to reboot at all. If restarting chkservd does not work, you just have to delete:
/var/run/chkservd/spamd
Then restart chkservd again. The only reasons for a reboot are really for kernel upgrades and hardware changes.

We haven't changed anything on our server with spam assassin and spamd but started getting these same messages yesterday. We've had about 6 or so emails since then. Is this from a cpanel update or ? And how can we fix this?
Thanks!
