Hi,
Have several customer that hire webdesigners and don't want to give them access to cPanel/ftp because they then get access to email accounts.
Are there anyway around this so the webdesigner don't get access to email?

In that users cPanel, find the FTP Accounts area. In there, Add FTP Account, use the designers name, gve him a password. Under that where it says Directory, it auto filled by now with his name, remove that name only. leave in place public_html/
Now say the designer is working here: public_html/joomla/
Add joomla to the end of the Directory mentioned above. Click Create.
When designer@domainnamehere.com logs in via FTP, he will only have access, full access to write, delete all files in public_html/joomla
When removing this FTP account be sure to delete the FTP account ONLY, not the account and all files under it. You will see this option on the delete screen.
HTH!

Yes, I know of the ftp accounts.
Can the account be created to have access to public_html folder and all folder under?
Or is it somehow possible to remove or restrict access to different icons in their cPanel account so the webdesigner doesn't have access to Email Accounts icon?
Instead of giving that user a specific directory, simply leave it as public_html with no trailing slash.
There is no way at this time to add a sub user to cPanel itself, although there is a Feature Request for it you might wish to sign onto located here:
