Good firewall to stop DDoS, SYN and UDP floods?

My site had a big downtime these days, and the datacenter didn't see all the connections coming into their TopLayers.
So I were wondering, does anybody know a good firewall to stop the attacks, doesn't even need to be free.

Hi,

In all my servers, I have the ConfigServer Firewall.

There is the best, in my opinion.

http://www.configserver.com/cp/csf.html

If you need help to install, send me a PM.

Regards,

Nunes, Joao

Seems great, although it did not protect me from some sort of http flood.
420 75.179.57.3
After I used netstat -ntu | awk '{print $5}' | cut -d: -f1 | sort | uniq -c | sort -n.
And no, I'm not wanting anyone in here to solve the attacks for me, and I will not hire somebody, so please stop sending me personal messages asking for my root password.
I want to solve it myself, and learn it.

In general, as you're doing, it might be worth mentioning that it's wise NOT to give anyone asking you for the root password your root password - just as you're doing. Great way to get your server hacked very thoroughly.

And CSF is a fantastic firewall; recommend taking the time to read the documentation in the config file carefully, it will make a real difference.

Do you have cPHulk enabled in WHM -> Security -> Security Center? This is a new feature in cPanel 11 that is supposed to protect against DoS attacks. I am not sure on its status in regards to DDoS attacks, though.

Cool

Hi,

You can further try installing mod_evasive apache module which helps a lot against DDoS attacks.. Best luck
