Default green light for awstats in whm , red in cpanel account

    Hello Guys,

In WHM I added awstats via Tweak Server Serrings to the Stats softwares, only webalizer ran before.

I can see a green light in Statistics Software Configuration in WHM.

When I go to cpanel, however, the Statistics Software Configuration shows all red!

    Why is that?

    Thanks,
    Gyuri

Under server config -> Statistics Software Configuration -> do you have awstats ticked under "default generators"?

You also might want to select the ability to change stats processing for each user and manually enable that account (further down in stats config).

I'm a little confused as to where you're getting the red in Cpanel? I seem to remember pre-WHM 11 / Cpanel 11 there was something like that but I can only find those red/green things in WHM now. Which WHM / Cpanel version are you currently running?

    Hello Trev and syn74x ,

    Thanks for replying.

    I have WHM 11.2.0 cPanel 11.11.0-R16983

For me, there is a Statistics Server Configuration menu option in WHM and in cpanel as well!

I did as you say, and enabled the user changing the config in WHM.

I went to cpanel, and I saw that I have awstats and webalizer ticked...

Yet, when I click on the Stats links for Webalizer I am getting a blank page,

I could see the webalizer logs via cpanel up until yesterday, when I enabled awstats as well.

When I go to the server directory, where the logs are stored, I can see the log files fine...Not sure what is going on.

MAybe I have to wait 24 hours now that I enabled awstats for the logs to be generated?

    Cheers,
    Gyuri

Hmm, that's very odd. I'd have assumed it would just display what's there for Webaliser and only the other one should take 24 hours. Does the Webaliser account contain the .html files as well as the logs? Can't exactly remember how it names them as I turned it off years ago (ate too much disk space).

Might be that there's a bug in Cpanel of course.

    Hi Trev,

Yeah I am kind of giving up on this.

    I found some related posts

but no luck...I wasted enough time with this for now.

One thing is that I saw in the blank html page this

    <META HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" CONTENT="0;URL=/awstats.pl?config=ACCOUNTNAME&lang=en">

I tried executing this perl script via ssh like this
    /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/bin/awstats.pl?config=ACCOUNTNAME&lang=en
    [1] 16784
    No such file or directory
    Exit 127
