Default Help! Deleted Mail server redirect?

Ok, I am on a resold account with my own domain and cpanel access. I used my email account with admin@domain.com and it worked. I wasnt thinking straight and made a redirect subdomain entitled 'mail'. I then deleted it. Now I realize my POP3 and SMTP servers where mail.domain.com. And I can no longer access email through outlook, but it works fine with the NeoMail included with CPanel. How can I correct my careless error? Thanks,

    J

Edit: I also dont know what forum this belongs in, if its wrong, I am sorry, and please move it.

Check the mail.domain.com A record in domain.com's zone record. Make sure it's correct

It may be an A record or CNAME, just make sure it's correct.

If you can edit your dns zone just add the mail CNAME or A record back

    mail 14400 IN CNAME domain.com.

If you can't access your dns zone , then your host would need to complete that for you - If you can't wait, just add the mail subdomain back using cpanel as a fix for now or a fix for good

Can you add the 'mail' sub domain within your cPanel ?

Ok, I added it as a subdomain. Now do I need to mess with the Mail Exchange entry?
