My client's ISP DHCP is switching too fast, as in after FTP login, by the time of the next FTP command, the IP changes again which is different from the login. Hence CPANEL prohibited all subsequent FTP commands?

Anyone know what is the problem? is there such restriction for changing IPs?

Thank you so much for you help!

Is there anything wrong with the spamd service?

Please don't mix your questions in a thread, keep them on topic. To address the FTP issue, which FTP server are you running, is it pure-ftpd or proftpd? If the latter, you might want to try switching to pure-ftpd in WHM.

Not sure about the DHCP switching issue, but there are a couple of immediate workarounds if you need them:

    1) Have your client use the IP address of the server in their FTP client (instead of ftp.domain.com).

    2) Edit the local host files on their computer (presuming a PC) and map the IP address to the domain name.

    Hope this helps -

If the clients PC is changing its IP address too frequently by DHCP (i.e. more than once in a 24 hour period) they will have problems with all sorts of services using TCP/IP which by definition is an end-to-end IP based protocol. If the IP address changes, the link is broken and it will always fail. The client really needs to have their DHCP service fixed.
