    Hi

I just keep getting this error :

    Installing SSL Certificate
The specified domain is not configured on the system. If you are intending to install a shared certificate you must use the username "nobody" for security and bandwidth reporting reasons.
SSL Install aborted due to error.

Im trying to install it to the server name, IE server.xxxx.com

    Any ideas?

    Cheers

    Hi

OK, I used the username nobody to install the cert and it claimed to work ok, however, Im still getting the cert error when going to cpanel/whm. Could this be because I allready have a cert installed on my server? How do I delete old certs so I can install this one as a fresh install?

    Cheers

If it is not a Wild-Card SSL then make sure that the SSL cert is issued for the correct domain name i.e server.xxxx.com. It should be set up as a separate account on the server with a dedicated IP of its own.

If you want SSL to work for cPanel/WHM as well then go to Go to WHM >> Service Configuration >> Manage Service SSL Certificates and install it for the services.

For deleting any existing certs, you can go to WHM >> SSL/TLS >> Manage SSL Hosts

    Hi

Ive done all that and its still giving me the cert error.

I cant setup an account for the hostname (server.xxx.com) as its the servers hostname. Its not a wildcard cert and the account for xxx.com uses the main shared IP.

The cert has installed for whm/cpanel with no errors. I dont get why im still getting this cert error. Can anyone give me any ideas?

    Cheers

    Hi

After installing the GoDaddy cert in whm>manage service SSL crts I get this result :

    Issuer: C=GB, ST=Worcs, L=Worcester, O=xxxGroup, OU=xxxHost, CN=server.xxx.com/emailAddress=chris@xxx.com
    Not Before: Jan 28 19:48:18 2010 GMT
    Not After: Jan 28 19:48:18 2011 GMT
    Subject: C=GB, ST=Worcs, L=Worcester, O=xxxGroup, OU=xxxHost, CN=server.xxx-host.com/emailAddress=chris@xxx.com
    Self Signed: YES

Shouldnt the GoDaddy cert be signed by them?

    Cheers
