Default Help me to add more connection requests

I first use cpanel so I don't really understand it.
Now I got a trouble about cpanel.
If there are many people come to my websites, my server will become slowly and almost break down.

I found that when my requests reach 256 or more, our apache almost will be down. So I have to hold unber 256 requests, our website also normally to run.

I try to fix our httpd.conf but it's invalid.

can you tell me, how to increase requests in cpanl ?

I would be more concerned about your memory and cpu information more than anything and if you are running a VPS or dedicated server?
