Help with YUM
When i am trying to run yum update:
YumRepo Warning: not using ftp, http[s], or file for repos, skipping - $releasever is not a valid release or hasnt been released yet
removing mirrorlist with no valid mirrors: //var/cache/yum/base/mirrorlist.txt
Error: Cannot retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository: base. Please verify its path and try again
I have CentOS 5.

if you have a node login ssh and type this command :

I don't have VPS, but dedicates server.
When i am trying to first RPM there is many errors about dependencies:
root@f5 [~]# rpm -Uvh http://mirror.centos.org/centos-5/5/...2.6-5.i386.rpm

Mohamed, correct me if I'm wrong, but this won't fix his yum problems. This will only install certain python rpm, which he may not necessarily need, not could it be causing the problem.Originally Posted by modevps.com
