    Default Hidden FTP

    Hi there,

Sorry I am a bit green to hosting etc. Hopefully a simple question.

I have cPanel and want a ftp account that I can store files on and access from remote locations.

When I set up a ftp account which does everything I need it to. Other than that when i goto mysite.com/myftpdirectory I can publicly see the contents and even download the files.

Question is, how can I keep these securely hidden so only to be visible via a ftp client such as filezilla or ftponthego?

    Thanks for any help!

I want a private area on my domain so that I can store files. I don't want people to be able to navigate to those files from there browser which is what is currently happening.

    Thanks

Create the ftp account, but make the folder to NOT be under public_html. This will restrict the access to the ftp user and file manager access.
