Hide POP3 en IMAP version details

Hi,

When I scan my server with GFI Lannguard I get warnings about the fact that my (Linux) server is providing details about POP3 server banners and IMAP4 server banners.
This info could be dangerous for potential hackers.

How and where can I change this?

Which imap/pop3 daemons are you using, the older cppop/cpimap or courier-imap/pop? If the former, then you're out of luck with cppop., the imap daemon is a modified uw-imap so you might have more luck with that if you can find the configuration file. With courier-imap, you'll need to check their site for details on whether the versions can be obfuscated.

Oops, a lot of technical questions which I can't answer.
I use the WHM/cPanel stable version, may be that's enough for u to help me further
