So the service itself is running fine, but chkservd is still showing it down?

    try
    Code:
    service chkservd restart

Do you have tomcat installed as well? Make sure you don't have both installed at the same time.

I don't use Tomcat cuz it's still under BETA version, so I did not install tomcat with Resin but I got errors

I had tomcat running and i accidentally installed resin. I disabled and uninstalled resin however i still see resin on the service stats page as failed and i get an email every 9 mins or so telling me that resin failed. Also, during installation of resin and removal of tomcat, i get this message about resin:
    HTML Code:
Verifying that Java is installed and up to date...
FreeBSD cannot be supported due to lack of java support from Sun Microsystems.
    Now installing Resin
and i still get those emails every 9 mins.

okie ... I solved the problem resin FAILED,
what I did installed comcat then remove the resin
then I uninstalled the tomcat, restart the server then reinstall the resin
the problem solved there is no more "resin failed" on service status

good luck guy ... try it

    Hallo RawForce

to solve the Resin problem, uninstall the Resin in WHM.
Then install the Tomcat adon and uninstall it.
Now install the Resin again and its work fine.

ok, i have tried everythng listed above and am still having probs with both. I tried resin first and it would fail and so i uninstalled it and reinstalled...still no go, so then again uninstalled it, i tried to rm -f /etc/chkserv.d/resin & /etc/init.d/chkservd restart to remove the failed under service status but it is still showing. So next i tried to install tomcat (same as resin no luck and have uninstalled it) tried to remove tomcat from the service status and it still shows failed. I have again tried resin and no luck for the 3rd time so everything is unistalled, but both are still showing in the service status as failed...I would like to remove both these failed notices from the service status, and if i can get tomcat or resin working..please help...thanks in advance

To remove Resin from the WHM service status(after uninstallation) you have to remove the following file:

    /var/run/chkservd/resin
