Horde WebMail Client

Hi there,

Im new to the cPanel administration field. But im no n00b.

I have the following problem with Horde, the server is quite new and as far as I know Horde has never worked since installation of cPanel (I didnt do it, dc did, but they dont offer support for cPanel)

Anyhow the following error is generated upon login

A fatal error has occurred:
DB Error: connect failed
[line 108 of /usr/local/cpanel/base/horde/lib/Prefs/sql.php]
Details have been logged for the administrator.

And if you click on... "Mail"

Notice: Undefined index: direct_access in /usr/local/cpanel/base/horde/imp/templates/menu/menu.inc on line 53

Now you are logged in.. and you can load the mail area... but you get that one error above. Its funny, alot of the other features dont work as the first error is generated.

As well, I checked the db's there is no "Horde" db, however there is a "mail" db, but no tables in it.

I would apreciate any help on this..

As well, does anyone have any experience with installing any extra webmail clients to work on port 80? I have a few clients who at the workplace cant access anything but port 80.

I was given a password when I ran that script? do I need to plop that password into a config file somewhere?

Edit: I again looked in mySQL theres no "horde" db a "mail" db but again no tables

Check out this thread. Creating the horde DB, /scripts/fullhordereset, and changing the debug_level did it for me.

mysqladmin create horde
/scripts/fullhordereset
