    Default host access control

I went to http://www.whatismyipaddress.com/ and got my windows xp home systems IP number. I use this computer to ssh2 to my server via port 42. I entered it this way in the new host control panel in the security center in the WHM:

sshd 192.168.0.1/24 allow Allow local SSH access
sshd MyIPNumber allow Allow SSH from my specific IP
sshd ALL deny Deny access from all other IPs

Now I cannot ssh into my system. Please advise what I have done wrong.

Thanks very much for any response.

The IP you have entered is your internal network IP (192.x.x.x) which will not be recognized on the internet. That's only applicable on your internal network.

You need to use the actual IP your requests are going out on from your ISP.
