hostname redirect

There seems to be a bug in cpanel 11 (stable) that causes resellers' clients
cpanel login to redirect to server.hostname.com instead. Same for reseller's
whm and all general clients.

This has been duplicated on 5 boxes all same specs: cpanel stable 11, centos

What is the fix?

This is the new default behavior for cPanel/WHM boxes. If you wish to change this, go to WHM -> Server Configuration -> Tweak Settings and scroll down to "Redirection" and change those options accordingly. Remember to click "save" at the bottom of the page.

Right now the settings are:

without ssl / Origin Domain Name
with ssl / SSL Certificate Name

It should not be that way. It should stick with the domain or IP
that was used to log into, as it was prior to upgrading to 11.

Anyone else facing this problem? Cpanel won't admit that its a bug, instead they are claiming this is how its supposed to be. FALSE! Cpanel/whm have always used the domain or IP logged in with without redirecting to hostname, up until cpanel 11.

Now, how should a reseller keep their private label when all clients are redirected to hostname? Common sense? Not with cpanel

Note that resellers can modify the themes fairly easily with version 11 to maintain their private label. Swapping out the cPanel logo with their own is fairly easy. Additionally if the end user is only seeing theirDomain.com/cpanel (which redirects to theirDomain.com:2082) and see the reseller's branding in the interface - I fail to see how they are losing their private label. Perhaps you can elaborate?

I'm facing the same problem, it's driving me insane, using v11.

I take it back, the problem doesn't exist! I got it working, the settings do actually work and stop the cpanel redirecting to the server hostname.
