Default How: Automatically purge deleted emails.

    I recently installed RoundCube webmail.

When I deleted the emails in Inbox, the messages would then go to the Trash folder. Fine.

After deleted the emails from the Trash folder, I noticed that the Trash folder still showing something like "Trash (10)". Meaning, there were 10 unread messages in the Trash folder. But when I viewed under Trash, it was empty.

If I viewed it under Horde, I could see the 10 strike-out unread emails. In Horde, I must click on the "Purge Deleted" link to purge the deleted emails.

Is there a way to set it so that deleted emails under Trash are immediately purged?

You should ask the developer of that application, since it's nothing to do with cPanel.

The developer is not sure of the problem, I guess.

I posted here hoping that someone might tell me if there any setting I could change in httpd.conf or under Exim Config Editor.

It has nothing to do with exim or httpd. It does have everything to do with how the developer has coded their application to deal with IMAP email, so only the developer can address that.
