Default How to copy cPanel accounts keeping MX and custom www records

    Hi Everyone,

We are deploying a new web and email hosting server.
The existing accounts need to be transferred from our old cPanel server to the new one.

The website and email hosting accounts on our old cPanel server have custom www and MX records.

When we restore the accounts on our new cPanel server, the custom www and A records are replaced with a standard cPanel www and A records.

BTW, all the servers have clustered DNS.

How can we maintain the www and A records from our old cPanel server.

    Regards,

    Darren.

It's an annoying bug - the simplest way is to manually copy and modify the zone files for each domain in /var/named/domain.com.db from the old to the new server.
