    Default How to disable cpanels version of apache?

    We have another version of apache running on a cpanel/whm box.

    How can we disable the cpanel version of apache, so that it doesnt start.

    Assuming you have your separate (from cPanel) version of Apache running as a different process name...you can do killall httpd and then:

    cd /etc/init.d
    chmod 000 httpd

    Just disable httpd in WHM > Service Manager
