Default How to disable mysql backup using cpanel backup

I am the only user for a small dedicated server with cpanel, e.g. I access cpanel using root. I want to use zmanda for mysql backup because cpanel backup does not use option '--single-transaction' for mysql backup and some of my tables are quite large, e.g. 500M and are being updated continuously. I want to use cpanel backup for files not related to mysql databases. A support engineer from my hosting company told me it is impossible not to backup mysql databases using cpanel backup. Can someone confirm this? Can I enable 'mysql dir only"? Thanks for your time.

One possible workaround is to use a database user that has no cpanel account. Will cpanel backup these tables that are belonged to a database user that has no cpanel account?
