Default How do I get File Manager to show invisible files?

Before cPanel 11, the File Manager showed invisible files (the ones with names starting with a period).

But now, such files no longer show up at the File Manager (both new and legacy).

How do we set it to show invisible files again?

This is a per-user setting. When you click on the File Manager icon, do you get a prompt to show hidden files? If not, scroll down to the bottom of the page you see when you first login to the cPanel interface and click on reset all interface settings. Refresh the page and when you click on the File Manager icon, in the popup that appears, check the option to display hidden files.

    Default Wasted time

Thank you to the above poster for finally solving the problem I've had this morning.

Still, this being the only user solution is a bit amatuer for a company like cPanel. If they the option is there the first time a user logs in, surely it would make sense to just have an option link in file manager to allow changes at a later date, rather than having to reset the interface for everything.

I wasted ages this morning looking for an option to turn hidden files on. I was expecting there to be an option, and there should be. Or, at the very least, don't give users the option at all and ust leave hidden files unhidden. This is not Windows. Anyone using cPanel should probably not need to have things hidden anyway.
