Default How do I install a RackShack SSL Cert into WHM?

I can't figure out for the life of me how to install a RackShack SSL cert (from GeoTrust) into WHM for a domain. Nothing I seem to do works and RackShack provides no support (big surprise there).

In WHM I do the following.

    1. Generate an SSL Certificate and Signing Request
    2. Enter Email, my domain, country, state, city, company namy, company division, email, and a challenge password.

I get the signing request, and order it thru RS. They verifiy and send the certificate back to me.

I then go to install an SSL Cert. Paste in my CRT from Rackshack. Enter my domain, it retrieves my user, ip, and the key.

    I click "Do It"
    KABOOM!

    The error is:

    Attempting to verify your certificate.....
Modulus mismatch, key file does not match certificate. Please use the correct key file Key Modulus Modulus=B5243135C65D69D48FDA43102C97056FFB22283C1EF816D76B0612C19FA1BCDFF849CDCD0A13EADB632926FDD2721266F6A441CA02C90F3CF1AD42736F7AEF115B0E8D0C7ABC2636E6B4F6D0AFA594D2039EA5D636884A73EA32F64E55930AAAB1B7E7D0BC428E3F9B14490F8D56299DB7B99290A7A4F9F7A3A4E4B1F290615F
    Crt Modulus

Try number 2. I went into /usr/share/ssl/private and deleted all files for the corresponding domain and I did the same in /usr/share/ssl/certs

I then remade the CSR with the same info as above, except for my challenege password I used 5 blank spaces (since you can't leave it blank).

Sent it to RS, paid them once again as they refused to reissue my old cert. Get the CRt, go to install it, and get the same error.

How do I sucessfully install a RS Geotrust Cert into WHM?

    Thanks
    Ryan

    I've got the same problem.

Care to share how you fixed it?

Is there a download URL for the GlobalSign CA?

    Thanks,

    Rob

    Hi,

Found out in the end that my problems were caused by MS Outlook XP reformatting the email with the CRT in. By copying and pasting it into Notepad and then into CPanel, the CRT retained it's correct form and matched the key.

    Hello,

Open your Certificate and Key in Notepad, then delete spaces and new lines between strings and then add new lines. And try again.

Thanks, I got it working and since then have installed 3 certs. What I like to do with the Rackshack and Geotrust combo is generate the CSR, then copy it directly from there (not outlook) into Rackshacks signup form. After the signup is done copy the cert into notepad before installing it. No worries now.

    Thanks for everyones input.
