How do I install a wildcard SSL?

I've installed 15-20 regular SSLs without any problem, but when I try to install a wildcard SSL it times out every time. I was able to do it manually through SSH, but it didn't seem to work quite right as https://subdomain.domain.com would pull up the same thing as http://www.domain.com whereas http://subdomain.domain.com would pull up the right page. I don't even know where to start with this, but I'm guessing if I can get cPanel to install it then it'll work right.

Make sure you have entered in named
* IN A 86400 IP

and in apache
ServerAlias domain.com *.domain.com

Where in named do you put that? In the zone declaration for the domain?

In the zone file for the domain. Thus, with the domain example.com, on Linux, the file is /var/named/example.com.db Edit that file and place the * IN A 86400 IP after the other entries on its own line.
