How do I switch my server over to my second IP and make it my main ip?

Hi,

IIRC, you can use the IP Migration tool in WHM for accounts if they're using it, but you still have to manually change the OS files, e.g. if it's on eth0 on Linux:

/etc/sysconfig/network
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0

You then need to restart the network service or reboot (if you restart network remotely you may need console access to get it up again if it doesn't start up, though).

Also it will break the cPanel License. Hence, you need to either purchase new license for new IP address or ensure that your cPanel license provider has licensed it for the new IP address before making the change.
