How to give your reseller access to backup drive

Hi,

I just wondering if this situation of mine can be done

I have a backup hard drive mounted as /backup. Only root can access this drive using SSH.

A lot of my client (specially my reseller account) want to have access to their backup file (daily backup) using FTP access. They just want to have download access so when they screw up on overwrite wrong file, they can download it from backup.

Anyone can help me ?

It is possible. You'll need to change the ownership of the actual backup files to that of the reseller and add a symlink in their directory. That will get you started

I change the ownership. But i don't know about symlink. Please tell me more ramprage
