Hello, I'm sure there is any easy answer for someone who understand this.
1) Yesterday via WHM, I went into "Generate a SSL Certificate and Signing Request" for abc.domain.com.
2) I sent the CSR to GeoTrust to get a new certificate. They issued one via email.
3) I can not figure out how to install this new certificate.
4) In the mean time I find out that going to httpS://abc.domain.com, browsers warn that the site is not trusted or something to that effect. I now guess that what I did in step 1 installed a self-signed certificate on the server. I saw no other place to generate a CSR...
5) In CPANEL for the domain (not WHM), it showed the Thawte certificate that is expiring in a few days. So I uploaded the new certificate using CPANEL. Now it shows the issuer as abc.domain.com. Yet, the certificate details show GeoTrust with the correct expiration dates.
How do I get the new GeoTrust certificate installed and not have it appear self-signed and get myself out of this pickle?
Best,
David![]()
