Default How to keep customized settings??

I had the cpanel login area customized (instead of the green cpanel bar, it had my own). I just noticed tonight that it's gone back to the default cpanel green bar.

What can I do so that when I make these type of customizations they are not overwritten whenever cpanel upgrades the software??

    It's driving me nuts.

    Thanks for any h elp!

My Linux is very limited. Could you give me an example on how to go about this?

    Thanks,
