Question How to "mass change" a reseller setting for all resellers on server?

    Is this possible?

In the "reseller center" we want to UNCHECK the "Allow Creation of Packages with Unlimited Diskspace" feature... for all resellers.

Is there a way to do this through the backend with a script or something?

Or do we have to manually edit every reseller on the server using the WHM front-end?

    Thanks.

If I had a sufficient number of resellers where I was considering building a script to do this, I would first create an ACL that contained the privileges I wanted to have my resellers possess then assign that ACL to the resellers. While all of this can be scripted, my preference would be to create the ACL via the WHM interface then use a script to apply the ACL to all my resellers. I would build my script to interface with the XML-API and to use the following function call:

    http://cpanel.net/plugins/xmlapi/setacls.html

See the "Using an ACL list" example for how to set a reseller to use an ACL list.

There's much sample code floating around these forums in PHP and Perl for the APIs. However, any language that can handle XML syntax and HTTP/HTTPS requests can be used.

If you run into any issues with our APIs, please let us know.
