Default How to notify of Disk Usage Limit without running upcp ?

    Hi,

We've /scripts/upcp disabled on all our servers, we only run it manually when needed.

Since /scripts/upcp is disabled, users don't receive notification when they reach their space usage limit.

Is there a script to enable as a cron job to check for space limits and notify the contact email once that limit is reached ?

    Thx,

    Tamouh

That's very dangerous unless you are daily checking updates to perl modules and OS updates yourself, otherwise you're exposing yourself to security and stability problems.

I'm not aware of a way to check those, you'll probably have to trawl through the upcp code to find where it does it.

Ya, all servers are monitored real-time and any new security vuln immediately patched when the advisories released.

We found it much better than having to check at 3 AM to find cPanel had done an update on EXIM or mySQL , and suddenly things not working. We do the upcp on as needed base , under a controlled environment, so when things go wrong, we can fix them right that moment.

I've found the script that does disk usage checking:

    /scripts/quotacheck
