How To Reset All Mysql Permissions

One of my people was playing around in a PHPADMIN session and deleted all permissions for mysql LOCALHOST

I would like to restore all Myql LOcalhost permissions to what they were when Cpanel was first installed.

Can someone tell me how to do this.

Reset your MySql password in WHM, this should generate the correct permissions.

Did what you suggested and set new Mysql password in WHM, and then clicked on Phpmyadmin and then clicked on Databases and clicked on MYSQL in the drop down of all databases.....then I clicked on USER and got the following error.

Also, I noted when entering the CPANEL control panels for all clients using a mysql database that the database names appeared, but there were NO USERS displayed???

Just try to restart mysql with --skip-grant-tables option
And recreate your root user


This should reset permissions.

In WMH there is only an option to restart mysql, and nothing there that Ican see than allows me to restart mysql with --skip-grant-tables option, and recreate a root user

We are novices.

Can you let me know exactly what to type in an SSH session at the root that will enable me to:

1 - restart mysql with --skip-grant-tables option
2- recreate my root user

How will I know who the root user is?

I think it's root@localhost.com?
